Dear Educators,
As we hope you are aware, you are an integral component of this program’s success. Your knowledge of your students and classroom leadership is what will help your students fully comprehend these lessons and be able to apply them in their futures. Many of these lessons are based around discussions. In these conversations, it will be important for you to model thinking through positive decision making. It will also be important for your students to have multiple opportunities for discourse. That being said, we want to encourage you to use your professional judgment when delivering these instructions. Our aim is to help students fully understand the differences between ‘right and wrong’ and to be able to make choices with positive outcomes. As you know, the lessons with the most ‘staying power’ are the ones where our students are fully engaged. Feel free to add in your creativity to make these lessons more engaging and truly feel like ‘real-world’ experiences for your students. The Social Capital Curriculum at the end of each suite provides the opportunity to engage all students.
Some ideas to further engage your students in the lessons:
-
Swap out character names for your student’s names to the ‘scenario’ cards once you’ve copied the slide deck.
-
Once copied, you can adjust the ‘scenarios’ to fit incidents in your classroom or that you’ve experienced together.
-
Swap out suggested texts for other beloved books.
-
*Keep the same theme in mind to make sure the lesson objective is not lost. *note that you may need to alter some anchor chart in some lessons *
-
Add in additional/other sharing activities that your class loves or that suit your management style.
-
Additionally, throughout the lessons you will periodically see asterisks *. These are places where we’ve highlighted instructional suggestions.
You are an extremely important person in the lives of your students, we thank you for being a positive role model and advocate for our children. We know how valuable your instructional time is, so we thank you again for taking some of it to teach this program with integrity. We hope you enjoy embarking on this journey with your class!
Best regards,

Dear Parents,
We are absolutely thrilled to share with you the exciting journey your children are about to embark on in their upcoming lessons! Our curriculum is bursting with engaging activities and important life lessons that will equip them to navigate the world with kindness, understanding, and responsibility.
At the heart of our lessons is the fascinating concept of cause and effect. We'll be guiding your children to discover how their actions ripple out into the world, influencing their own lives and those around them. This forms the foundation for a host of other vital lessons, such as empathy, responsibility, and the power of good choices.
But that's not all! We'll also be diving into themes like the golden rule, and the empowering idea that we are the architects of our own future. These lessons are designed to help your children understand their role in the world and how they can make a positive impact.
Now, here's where you come in! The homework assignments are not just about reinforcing classroom learning - they're a golden opportunity for you to join in your child's learning adventure. Your involvement will make the learning experience not just more effective, but a whole lot more fun and meaningful too!
We can't wait to see the growth and development your children will experience through these lessons. Thank you for being a part of this exciting journey. Let's make learning an adventure together!
Best regards,
